Having always loved art I have decided once my degree in English has finished to begin learning about art and its history! Am I mad?
So we had a wonderful pancake day, well 2 of us did anyway! Poor old Oz didn’t get anything except a look at the delicious photographs I took. Oh that was so mean!
I have decided to give up cake, (yes I know?) for lent, which means from today the 10th February until 24th March, that’s 40 days to be precise. The story of why we have lent is lovely and makes you think of depriving yourself of something you love in order to become wiser and more tolerant of things around you.
Now I’m not sure that is what the message from JC (not Jeremy Corbyn) Jesus Christ had in mind when he did his epic desert marathon. But I want to challenge myself to show that I still have the tenacity and determination I used to have when I was in my 20s and 30s.
So cake? Crap! I bloody love cake… And sound like Little Britain.

Yes I have! I’ve got 2,000 words in my literature review and 2,000 towards my first chapter. for my 10,000 word dissertation. I’m happy and will continue working hard, the submission date is the end of April.
Ive emailed my lit review to my supervisor for her to red pen it all! And she will. But that’s fine cos she always makes it better. I have to say I trust her to help me make this the best I can do.
I’ve got so many ideas, and at the moment I’m just writing furiously. I’m going to add notes to say which quote I want to go there, but am not worrying about quotes unless the whole sentence is centred around it…
I’m hoping having lots to edit will pay off. Stuff like terminology, quotes etc. can be added when editing, and I have lots of notes to keep referring too.
Feel fairly confident that I will get this last push done and have an English degree. Woohoo!
